Seattle Area Elopement Locations and Venues
3 sweet hearts

Best of The Best: 8 Locations to Elope or Host Your Small Wedding Ceremony in Seattle, Puget Sound & Washington State.

Seriously, you have many options, from tiny towns to big cities, from a quiet beach to a mountain trail, and even a baseball diamond!  So, free your imagination and consider the following great locations for your wedding ceremony.

Vashon Island

Take a ferry from West Seattle and within minutes you are on Vashon Island, the picturesque home of 6,000+ residents, featuring lots of boutique lodging and charming inns for your wedding ceremony. Vashon Island offers many beachside locations, as well as intimate neighborhood dining options, if you want to stay a bit afterwards before returning to Seattle.

Top of Seattle's Space Needle

For the price of tickets, you can take a ride to the top of the Space Needle. Once there, you can exchange your vows ‘high in the sky,’ while enjoying views of Seattle and the Puget Sound.  A lunch or dinner reservation waives the ticket price and gives you access to a private elevator and possibly a shorter wait in line.  If you choose a top-of-the Needle ceremony, your privacy will be significantly limited, but you will have the smiles and encouragement of applauding on-lookers when you lock lips!

The Salish Lodge / Snoqualmie Falls

A 40-minute drive from downtown Seattle will take you to the iconic Salish Lodge, overlooking Snoqualmie Falls, which offers the option of an indoor or outdoor ceremony and celebration. Many couples reserve a junior suite, and the Lodge is known for its huge breakfast, and lunch and dinner cuisine.

Parsons Garden/Queen Anne Hill

A surprisingly quiet outdoor location for a Queen Anne Hill ceremony is Parsons Garden.  It is operated by the City of Seattle, so you will need to secure a paid permit. The garden offers several picture-perfect spots, surrounded by lush trees and shrubs.  Across the street from the garden, is a magical Puget Sound water overlook, perfect for taking more photos.

T-Mobile Park, Seattle

Schmoocheroo!  Get married at home plate!  If you love baseball and/or are a sports fanatic, ask the good people at T-Mobile Park about being married at home plate. Contact the corporate office of the Seattle Mariners Baseball team for more information.

The Willows Lodge

This is such a happy place!  The Willows is a boutique lodge, offering indoor and outdoor ceremony options, and it is perfect for an elopement or small wedding ceremony. Located in Woodinville, a short drive from downtown Seattle, you can stay for a night or two, and be married in a junior suite or perhaps under one of the several gazebos on the property.  And then you are off to a once-in-a-lifetime meal at The Herbfarm Restaurant.  If you don’t know about this restaurant, look it up!

Hamilton Viewpoint Park, Seattle

Hidden in the middle of a neighborhood in West Seattle, is a gem of a park called Hamilton Viewpoint Park.  For the cost of a permit from the City of Seattle, you can host your elopement or small wedding ceremony with a glorious high bank view of Puget Sound and downtown Seattle. Easy parking, quiet and often surprisingly private.

Orcas Island, WA

The San Juan Islands are calling!  From Seattle, you will need to drive and take a ferry ride for the 2.5+ hour trip to Orcas Island but, once there, you may not want to leave.  The Island is quiet during the late fall and winter but comes alive in the spring and summer months.  This is a big Island, offering a wide variety of boutique hotels, inns, and bed & breakfasts, which are perfect for indoor or outdoor ceremonies. And if you want to be married on the beach, there are many possibilities!  Contact the Orcas Chamber of Commerce for more info.
