1) Seafair has started in Seattle. This is a multi-week annual festival which culimates with a crazy smorgasboard of community events and activities the first weekend of August. If you are planning a sweet and simple Seattle wedding, consider a week-day wedding – less traffic, less crazy when it comes to Summer events and more peaceful at local parks, view vistas, etc.
2) Get your Marriage License sooner than later. Remember, there is a 3-day waiting period once your license is issued. So, if you arrive in Seattle and “go to get your license, ” you’ll have to wait 3-full days before getting hitched. Tip! Start your paperwork before you arrive and pick up your valid license when you arrive in Seattle.
3) Have Fun! A sweet and simple ceremony is an opportunity for great fun – this possibly means fun outfits, fabulous shoes, flowers from a local farmer’s market, a picnic celebration meal and so much more!
