To you, a darling engaged couple…
So, you want to get married this week, this month or sometime soon?
Per the Governor’s Guidance for Phase 2 (Snohomish, Pierce and Thurston Counties, to name a few), and Phase 1.5 (King County), it’s a joy to welcome back the small wedding.
What does this mean? For all of this goodness, here is what you’ll need to make all of this happen…
- Valid Washington State Marriage License
- 2 Witnesses over the age of 18
- A lovely location (outside is the best!), a park, your backyard, etc
- Someone lovely to marry you
COVID 19/Phase 2 and Phase 1.5 Requirements: 1) Masks required for Officiant and witnesses, 2) Social distancing of 6 feet for Officiant and witnesses, 3) Separate pens for witnesses and Officiant; 4) Max of 5 people for the wedding ceremony. The goal is to follow the Governor’s/State guidelines to insure health and happiness all around!
If you have questions, if I can be helpful, I am here.
One of my most favorite neighborhood parks, for an small/intimate wedding ceremony or elopement, is the lovely Volunteer Park.
Located in the Capital Hill neighborhood of Seattle, Volunteer Park is an exquisite place in nature that fully embraces celebrations of all kinds, including a lovely wedding ceremony.
It was my happiness to join Kyle and Misa for their wedding ceremony at Volunteer Park, surrounded by Kyle’s Parents and Step-Mother. Bride Kisa’s people were all in China, Kyle’s two delightful Moms stepped up to love on Misa.

When Jeb and Amanda pondered what they wanted for their wedding day, they found they desired to keep things intimate and true.
This meant surrounding themselves with friends who mean the world to them. This meant bringing their sweet pooch along for the festivities. And doing this outside in the chill and rain, because that’s often what Seattle is all about.
So, on a crisp and clear day, Jeb and Amanda led a parade down to the Seattle waterfront to say their ‘I Do’s.’ Their words were personal and their vows were sweet.
Simply, perfect in all ways.
There are some moments in life that are extra special and precious.
It was my happiness to be with Andrew and A.J. as they exchanged beautiful vows before a small and intimate group of friends on a crisp Saturday afternoon last week in downtown Seattle.
This moment was a long time coming for these two loving men. We celebrated their path to their wedding day and the anticipation they have for their shared future.
Andrew and A.J., I wish you so much love, happiness and joy on your marriage adventure!
It was such a pleasure to finally meet Christina and Chris and share in their wedding day at the Seattle Arboretum on Friday morning.
Joined by their parents, we got this couple so beautifully married in a reserved Meadow near the Woodland Pond.
Traveling from Ohio to be married in Seattle, Christina and Chris exchanged beautiful vows and heartfelt words – drenched by truly beautiful Seattle sunshine, usually a rare thing this time of year!
Congratulations, Christina and Chris!
As the weather turns from Summer to Fall in Seattle, all things outdoors become unpredictable.
So, a smart wedding cookie knows that an easy and elegant wedding day, no matter if your guest list is 2 or 200, includes an indoor option (Plan A) and outdoor option (Plan B).
Simple. Easy. And if the weather is fabulous for an outdoor ceremony, wonderful. If the weather turns, you’ve got a thoughtful indoor venue.
Sean + Lindsey.
Married in Seattle on Saturday, March 29th, under a cloudy sky – and with so much love.
Sean and Lindsey started out as friends, and while Sean was stationed overseas, their friendship turned into love.
And Sean and Lindsey were super happy to have Lindsey’s sister and boyfriend as their witnesses, along with a friend and wedding dog, Jeb!
Sasha and Amanda Ackerly – you are so very married!
These two beautiful ladies traveled from the Mid-West to Seattle to marry at The Edgewater Hotel in downtown Seattle on Thursday, November 14th.
Joined by 20 of their best people – all who traveled from different parts of the United States for this lifetime moment – Amanda and Sasha shared poignant and beautiful vows and shared in a ceremony that not only celebrated the two of them but the intimate gathering of folks who traveled far to be there!
Sasha and Amanda – You have inspired those around you for 16 years with your loving relationship. Here is to many more happy years together!

Chann + Debbie!
I LOVE that one of Chann and Debbie’s first dates was hauling buffalo across the Texas State Line!
Prior to getting on the Celebrity Solfstice with 4 close friends, Chann and Debbie were married high in the sky – at the top of Seattle’s Space Needle on Thursday, May 23rd.
We had a gorgeous bride, happy groom, thrilled friends, beautiful flowers, sunny weather and lots of love and joy!
Much happiness to you, Chann and Debbie!
You know how a photo says it all?
Claire + Sarah = LOVE.
Congratulations, beautiful ladies! Such an honor and pleasure to share in your Seattle wedding day!
