A True Elopement.

Planning Your Elopement. What to Do, What to Know…

An elopement means different things to different couples.

A ‘TRUE ELOPEMENT’ is an intimate wedding ceremony for a loving couple and their 2 witnesses. Maybe a photographer. Perhaps a couple of guests. Flowers and champagne optional.

A True Elopement can be a ‘let’s just do this today’ decision, or more planned out, with a definite date, time, and place.

Whatever describes your vision for your elopement, let me help you make it happen.

It is my happiness to marry couples of all beliefs, traditions, and preferences. Whether you want the setting for your ceremony to be a beach, a waterfront home, a chapel, a rain forest, or in the shadow of Mount Rainier, let’s share in a sweet, easy and no crazy ceremony.

I take my officiating work very seriously, but my style is known for being unstuffy and fun. I invite you to learn more about me by going to About.

What This Costs

My fee varies for each couple and depends on the details of your True Elopement.

On average, my fee for elopement services ranges from $250 to $650.

It includes understanding what preferences and special requests you may have for your wedding.  And it may include asking just enough about each of you to personalize your ceremony and make it uniquely yours.

My fee also covers my time to travel to/from the location of your ceremony within the Seattle area.  If you are being married outside of the central Seattle area, I request a travel fee, quoted on an individual basis.  Once I know all the particulars, I will offer a firm quote for services.

Special Note:  If you are new to the area, or traveling to Seattle to be married, and need information on venues and locations for your ceremony, please check out locations/venues for some wonderful suggestions.  I can also be of assistance with other pre-wedding details and arrangements, including witnesses, photographer, florist and more.

Let’s Chat.

To inquire about my availability for your wedding day, please email me or complete this easy form.  If you prefer, give me a call or text at 425.922.1325.

A True Elopement: Your Love Story, Your Commitment.

A wedding is one of life’s biggest moments and the start of a couple’s forever commitment to one another. A True Elopement is for two people who choose to get married ‘their way,’ often for reasons that are private and personal. It takes the stress out of wedding planning and allows the focus to be on what is most important…your love story.

Your True Elopement:  5 Easy Steps.

  • 1 First, apply for a Washington State Marriage License. You do this by contacting the County Auditor in any County in Washington State. For everything you need to know, go to marriage license.
  • 2 Decide on a Date and Time. Weekend or weekday? Morning, afternoon, or evening? Your decision may be guided by the season and weather, travel arrangements, cruise departures, the amount of daylight, when the sun will set, and more.
  • 3 Select A Date and Time.Once you have a wedding date, confirm a start time for your ceremony.
  • 4 Decide on a Location/Venue. There are many great places to be married in the Seattle/Tacoma area. For some of my favorite locations, venues and ‘hidden gems’ for an elopement or small wedding ceremony, go to Locations/Venues.
  • 5 Your Officiant, 2 Witnesses and a Photographer. You will need someone authorized to marry you, hopefully me! Plus, you will need 2 witnesses. Some hotels, bed and breakfasts, and boutique inns may offer 2 staff as witnesses. If you don’t have witnesses, ask me for assistance with this. And if your budget allows, hire a professional photographer. I can suggest affordable photographers who are fun-loving, super-creative and reliable. I do not get a commission for referrals, only wonderful photos and happy couples.
