Your Seattle Elopement: 3 Big and Important Tips For a Very Happy “I Do!”
It’s summer in Seattle and a time when many couples want a sweet, tiny and intimate wedding ceremony.
If you are considering an “elopement” or perhaps a more planned small and quiet ceremony and celebration, here are a 3 best tips:
1) Make your tiny wedding event a big deal! Find a great park, venue, or location that resonates with you. Book an overnight or two at a lovely hotel or bed and breakfast (or campground!). Find a place for a fabulous meal or two. Make this very special to create life long memories.
2) Consider a honeymoon after your “elopement!” A trip or “get-a-way” once you are married is a very special experience as a couple. Life is short – just do it.
3) Get a handle on the “details” – you need a valid Washington State Marriage License (beware the 3-day waiting period from time of issue) – perhaps some flowers – something sweet to share (cake, pie, ice cream) and 2 witnesses over the age of 18 years of age!
